The aim of the Institute for Christian Music Foundation is to promote the development of modern Christian music and to preserve its roots. The promotion of young talents is the focus of the work of the ISTITUTO DI MUSICA CRISTIANA. The praise of the Lord as the core of Christian music is to be protected and strengthened. Gospel (Good Spell) is the foundation of soul and funk music. This in turn forms the basis of RnB and rap music. This is where the circle closes, because modern worship music, contemporary gospel, in turn takes up these musical elements, but of course remains faithful to the message of Jesus Christ. The cultural exchange for the further development of Christian music, especially contemporary gospel music, is the core goal and thus the strengthening of our Christian community. The aim is to build bridges between the different Christian churches and to deepen the musical and personal exchange between the Christian congregations, because we all have a common goal: to bring the Word of our Lord Jesus Christ closer to our fellow human beings. In order to be able to realise these goals, further partners as well as suitable premises in Ticino are to be found as soon as possible within the framework of the current foundation phase.

The ISTITUTO DI MUSICA CRISTIANA has technical equipment for studio recordings and music rehearsals. Here, in the future, classical analogue music recording and production techniques can be merged for use alongside contemporary digital technology. Interested people can study this together in small groups and keep the knowledge of the warm sound of analogue sound alive as well as develop it further. On this technical basis, own recordings of Christian music can be made in the studio. The functions of the recording and rehearsal rooms are merged in order to provide musicians with high-quality recordings of their rehearsals in addition to studio recordings. Music equipment including a transport vehicle is also provided for live events. Furthermore, workshops with classic 1210s, CDJs and analogue mixers will be offered for prospective DJs of Christian music. The DJ's can present their newly prepared sets during a final event and thus gain their first experience in front of an audience.

Christian live music will be presented to an interested audience during events. In order to offer a varied overall programme to the audience, the events are supported by DJ talents. Pure DJ events with Christian music are also organised. In addition, creative artists from the diverse fields of the visual arts can enrich and round off these events. The ISTITUTO DI MUSICA CRISTIANA also selects venues for events outside the Christian churches according to the occasion, in order to reach people who do not yet know Jesus Christ or do not actively participate in church life. In this way, the IDMC wants to serve as an instrument of the Lord to allow seekers to build a bridge through music to the Word of our Lord Jesus Christ. All musical performances are recorded by the IDMC and published on its own website as well as on various platforms such as Soundcloud. Furthermore, sound carriers (CD and vinyl) of selected studio and live recordings are produced. Downloads and recordings are made freely available on a donation basis in order to reach a wider audience for Christian music and its artists.

The ISTITUTO DI MUSICA CRISTIANA is a non-profit organisation, so events and workshops are run on a donation basis. Since the IDMC is not part of the traditional music industry, the focus can be on long-term, sustainable development. For this reason, the IDMC focuses on building a strong Christian community of musicians, DJs, music lovers, donors and active supporters. The ISTITUTO DI MUSICA CRISTIANA is not only committed to the promotion of Christian art and culture, but also to the protection of creation in order to preserve it for our children in the future. For this reason, the IDMC voluntarily refrains from any air travel, as well as that which is necessary for the artists to travel. The journeys from or for the IDMC are carried out by train or car as standard. In addition, the IDMC does not use any disposable plastic articles. At IDMC events, sustainable solutions without plastic will be sought with the operators of the respective venues.
